Designed with real life in mind
I came to interior design through a career that was always, at its core, about the same thing: how do you arrange elements so that the whole feels inevitable? For more than 20 years I worked with some of New York’s most respected institutions — the Guggenheim, Forbes, the French Heritage Society — designing publications, gallery materials, and exhibition collateral where the relationship between structure and beauty had to be exact. Not approximate. Exact.
That perfectionist instinct doesn’t turn off when I walk into a room. If anything, it sharpens. I notice what’s competing for attention and what’s quietly holding everything together. I see the proportions that are slightly off, the palette that’s almost right, the furniture arrangement that works against the room instead of with it. And I know how to fix it — with intention, not guesswork.
I also know what it’s like to live inside a home that’s in progress. I’ve patched drywall, refinished floors, repainted rooms, and coordinated with contractors through a full fixer-upper renovation. I understand that these decisions are personal, that the pressure is real, and that what you want — more than anything — is someone who takes it as seriously as you do.
My aesthetic is elevated but livable. Refined without being precious. I gravitate toward spaces that feel considered and calm — where nothing is accidental and nothing is overdone. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, I think we’ll work well together.
